it's official! i'm addicted to food! i recently have discovered a sad addiction that i have to both gummy bears and gushers.. every time i head to the store i always find myself gravitating towards it! then there are potato chips.. yum! the worst part about this is, if i didn't always snack or could control my snacking i'd probably be losing some weight! a little over a month ago rey and i got a 24 hour fitness passes. my two good friends out here have them too and we go at least five times a week. mondays we take a turbo kick class and this one is my favorite! tuesday is zumba which is super fun, wednesday is a super hard and intense class called 24 set. basically it's a step class but you add on weights and it's just super intense! you get an awesome cardio workout as well as a good toning workout! thursday we just go and do the elipticals for an hour and maybe go do some weights since my friend autumn knows what she is doing and is basically our own little personal trainer, and then on fridays we do a class called body pump, where basically you are lifting weights and working on every single muscle group! it's awesome cause you can do it at your own level and you tone up! i can tell already that my body is toning up, but my clothes all fit the same and i weigh the same! i've been doing this for a whole month now and get some good workouts in! seriously! i'm sore a majority of the week from these intense work outs! seriously, i just wish i had the willpower to eat healthy.. i keep telling myself i will, and then i see my favorite foods and am like.. 'well, i worked out today,' and then i eat! luckily i am working out otherwise i probably would have gained a bunch of weight, but it would be nice to lose a pound or two.. sad day!

Oh life...
Well, as some of you may have seen on facebook we got some sucky news the other day! Rey has had this pain in his back for a little over 2 years now. I thought it was just a swollen lymph node and Rey has been thinking it was a cyst.. well the other day we finally went to the doctor since this was the first time someone in his command has let him, (bullcrap i tell ya) and we finally found out what it was.. a freaking tumor! i can't remember the exact name, but the doctor said it was a tumor and that most are benign. when they said that it definitely took a lot for me not to cry! i did my best and remained calm, however i forgot to ask what are the chances of it not being benign and when exactly will we find out if it is or not.. seriously, i was not thinking all that much after we found out that news! i do have a feeling that it's all going to be okay and i'm just going to keep praying that it is, because honestly that's all i can do at the moment. sadly, the first day they could fit him in for surgery is may 23rd, so it's over a month away which is kind of stupid, but i am glad that he is finally getting it taken care of! the good thing about this however is, he probably wont have to go to bridgeport! after the surgery he gets 4 days off of work, then ten days of light duty at work, and he'll probably even have a drain in his back. his 1st srgt has been pretty lame and has been saying that everyone is going and they can do light duty up at bridgeport, but he's going to have to go in 14 days after his surgery for a check-up and to possibly take out the drain, and bridgeport is about 8-10 hours away so i can't exactly see them taking him back and forth.. so as of right now it is looking like he wont go which makes me very very happy!! that also means i will be staying in california a tad bit longer! we've decided that i will go back in august if he for sure doesn't go to bridgeport. he'll probably get to come back to utah end of august, early september, and this way i can have time to get my job back and already be working, and if there is a chance for some reason they wont let me get my job back i can start my job search since that would give us two months before he gets out to search for a job so i have some income coming in when his stops coming in november! its definitely nice knowing that he is getting out of the marines, but definitely stressful as well! i just wish it would hurry up and get here!! OH! so guess what! i knew something was going to get in the way of the glee concert! rey's surgery is may 23rd and the concert is may 27th so we have no idea if rey will be able to go or not!! we are going to see how he feels before we make the decision, but if he can't go i guess i am going to ask one of my friends down here if they want it.. one lucky friend may be getting a $120 glee ticket for freeeee! haha! poor rey though! he has been so excited because he loves glee too and has never been to a real concert! oh well! so is life!!

how silly was i?
so, i don't really know what i was thinking back in the day, but growing up i always figured that as soon as a couple wanted a baby.. BOOM they would get preggo.. but i have definitely found out that is far far far from the truth! yes, i know, with rey getting out of the marines it may not be the best time to be trying to have a baby, but both rey and i really really want to start a family. also, something my mom said a couple years back has really stuck with me.. she told me that having a family was one of the greatest blessings and that one should never wait for "the perfect time" to get pregnant because you'd be missing out on so much and how that it may be tough, but you will figure everything out. basically, all i know is that both rey and i can't wait to be parents so why wait for that "perfect" time? anywho! this whole baby thing is crazy! i have read up on it quite a bit lately and even with a healthy couple there is only a 20% chance of getting pregnant with doing everything at the right time.. it's just craziness! i also read that most healthy couples will be trying for 6-12 months before they get pregnant! BOOO! that's way too long! plus, when there are shows like 16 and pregnant where these teens who shouldn't even be parents yet get pregnant.. and then people i see on facebook are all announcing being pregnant and it just makes you wonder what's up with you?! one of my best friends in california is also trying to have a baby and she is experiencing the same stuff as me! rey the other day made a comment on how he felt like we were in a competition with them to see who gets pregnant first, but honestly i would love it if she got pregnant! it would show me that it is actually possible! ha! plus, i know how she is having the same thoughts! it's just so discouraging when there is nothing else in the world that you want more! i know i just need to put my trust in the Lord and know that he will bless us a with a child when the time is right, but i think i'm a tad bit too impatient.. especially when i know how good of parents both rey and i could be.. so wish us luck, because this whole baby making thing is tough! ha!

for everyone asking...
blah! blah! blah! so, on april 28th rey is going to the doctor for an MRI to find out what is up with his back! i think i mentioned this before, but he has this weird lump thing on his back which causes him a lot of pain and sometimes makes his whole leg go numb, and any time he has mentioned it to one of the corpsman (navy doctors who aren't even real doctors) they just tell him to take some advil and call it a day! it's crap! well, since nobody has done anything about it for two years it has gotten bigger and worse! well, he finally made it in and they at first thought maybe it was a cyst, but if that's what it was, it probably would have just gone away on its own after two years... so now they think it could be something worse, and it's really close to his spine which could cause even more problems.. so as of right now, best case scenario for his back it's just a cyst and he'd only need five days to recover.. if it something really bad and requires some hardcore surgery it could take up to three months of recovery time and they can't have him leaving the marines all jacked up so he could even possibly have to stay in the marines longer than october! he wouldn't have to deploy or anything since it'd be about making him get better, but i think we are just so ready to move on and start our real life together this would just be a pain! so yeah! if it's just a cyst or something simple he will go to bridgeport in june, which means i will go back to utah and get a job. he'd come back from bridgeport in july, and since he has at least a month of leave time saved up he'd probably get to come back to utah end of august or early september.. which is why i posted the status i did the other day ("already i'm so lonesome i could die - leaving on a jet plane) i know that it would only be about 3 months apart in all, and two of those months i could call or text him any time i wanted, but after two deployments apart i'm just ready to not be away from him! just the thought of it makes me so so sad!! however, if it's some intense surgery and he misses bridgeport i'll obviously stay in cali and take care of him and hopefully come back when he does in august or september! all i know is i am ready to come back to utah and get our life started!! well, that's all for now!

i love the church!!
so, as pretty much anyone in the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, (mormon church) knows saturday and sunday was our semi-annual general conference. for those of you who don't know what that is, it's a conference that happens twice a year where our prophet and apostles and other high up leaders of our church get together to speak to us. every time a conference comes up we are told that we should pray and think about what we want to get out of this conference and we will get our answer during the meeting. mine and rey's number one goal is to get sealed in the temple so we can not only be together in this life, but also in the next! leading up to conference this is obviously what i prayed about since with the marine corps it truly did feel like everything was in our way! well, conference was pretty amazing but there were two talks that talked about the temple that just hit me and my prayers were definitely answered. i think it was during president monson's talk that he talked about this family that lived super far away from the temple and the family knew that they needed to be sealed in the temple so a dad and one of the sons went and worked at these mines for 4 years so they could save money to get their family sealed. eventually they saved up enough money and the family, all but one daughter went and were sealed. the father went and worked another 2 years so the daughter and her husband and child could be sealed as well! I know for me it has felt like there has been so many things standing in mine and rey's way, but i am so thankful and grateful for how many temples we have nearby and how it wont take us 4 years to save up enough money.. all it will take is some persistance and patience and we will end up there! i seriously cannot wait for the day that rey and i can be sealed together for time and all eternity!
after the last session of conference ended rey and i had a serious talk about what we learned and what we both wanted and how we would be able to get there. well yesterday, the day after conference rey said all day at work that was all he could think about was how we could make this happen as soon as possible for us since he still feels like he has a little bit of work to do to prepare himself since he didn't grow up in the church like me. well, a few weeks back the missionaries had asked to stop by, but of course the night they had planned to come over rey didn't get off till way late so we had to cancel. so yesterday, when he was really trying to figure things out they called and asked if they could come over to talk with us. so last night they came over and asked what they could do to help and we decided that every wed they are going to come over and give us lessons to help us get ready and prepare to go to the temple. i am just so excited that everything is finally seeming to work out in our favor. my guess is we wont be able to get sealed on our anniversary, june 11th, due to things going on with the marine corps, but i just need to remember that things will happen in the Lord's time! i am just so thankful to have this church in my life and for all the blessings that have and will continue to come with it. i know that it wasn't by chance that the missionaries called us yesterday of all days to come.. i know that Heavenly Father is answering our prayers and helping us to move closer to our goal of someday getting sealed in the temple!
other than that, everything is going good in the lucero household, other than my massive sunburn.. probably the worst i have ever gotten in my life, but as of right now i couldn't be happier. so i guess that is everything for now!

WHEN?!?
when i ask you will the marine corps stop being such a lameo bully?!? i really do have a love/hate relationship with the marines.. sometimes i have so much pride in them and feel so proud of my husband, and then there are times like these where i just roll my eyes because they just can't seem to get it together. rey has less than 7 months left in, yet they are treating him like he is staying in and not giving him time to take care of the things that need to be taken care of.. like medical! rey has had this back problem for almost two years now and it's pretty well documented but they kept saying it would leave and to take just some advil.. well before he gets out he wants it taken care of, but they never let him go to the doctor.. which is stupid because he does nothing all flippin day! lame! sometimes i feel like punching some of these stupid people in the face!! however, this isn't the biggest thing.. the biggest thing is rey and i were planning on getting sealed on june 11th this year.. our two year anniversary.. well, probably not going to happen! even though he is getting out he has to go to bridgeport for a month which just so happens to be over our anniversary! BOOO! his 1st srgt has already said nobody can take leave over that time which means even though he has time saved up he has to go, even though when he will be getting back from bridgeport he'd only have less than 3 months left.. what a waste of time and money!! i'm so so so pissed! so i guess rey and i will just have two dates we get to celebrate each year which will be kind of cool, but i was just really hoping for our anniversary! as of right now we don't really have too much of a back-up plan, but if rey does in fact go to bridgeport in june i'll probably be heading back to utah. summer is obviously a big time for the movie theatres and i could probably get lots of hours which would be nice since i could make a little extra moolah before rey gets out! plus, he'd probably get to come home end of august, early september with his time saved up so i'd probably only miss out on two months with him.. which yes, would suck super badly.. but at least i could text him whenever i wanted and call him which is a major major plus! also, this would make it so we could get sealed in utah if we did it in september which could be pretty cool! if we did it on our anniversary it'd be here in cali, but if it goes this way we could have it in utah and have all of our family, or at least my family, there! so yeah! everything will work out the way it's supposed to i guess, i just wish i could know for sure what's going on so we could make solid plans, but as always one must be super flexible when it comes to the marines... anywho, that's all for now! we have the missionaries coming over tonight for some strange reason that i have yet to find out and i need to make this house spotless so i am off to deep clean! adios!

100th BLOG POST!
100! crazy huh? i blame rey's deployment! anywho! it has been awhile so i figured it was time to update! i guess i should start with my vinyl business i started! it's been going better than i thought! i've already made quite a few vinyls and my fan base just keeps getting bigger! i'm not making a huge amount of extra money.. but it is some so that is nice.. especially since i can still stay home.. clean, be with chloe, and be here when rey gets home and still be making a little extra moolah! plus, i can now make myself as many vinyls as i want! all i know is i love them! they are so pretty and classy looking!
okay, so what else? oh! i am UBER obsessed with call of duty.. it's pretty ridiculous! i even have my own profile and play during the day while rey is at work! my favorite though is to play with rey! i love having him as my wingman.. even though it's generally me going out first and dying so he can get the kill! haha! tis the best.. so if any of you have call of duty black ops you should add me and rey.. my name is kritomiester and rey's is naldomister! rey wanted to be naldomiester, but he spelled it wrong and is now naldomister! also, can i just say how cool of a movie battle: l.a. was? maybe it's just because it was the marine corps and they filmed part of it on camp pendleton.. at rey's actual camp.. camp horno.. but it was such a good movie! it definitely made me feel proud that my man is a marine! also, i think they did a really good job or portraying actual marines! if you haven't seen it.. keep an eye out at the start for the main guy on base at camp pendleton.. that's my husband's actual camp.. also, the gate that he drives through.. that's the one we go through! super sweetest!
so recently i have been reading a couple of blogs where women are going through deployments right now and can i just tell you how much i feel for these woman? every time they post a sad blog i feel sad because i can remember what exactly i felt at that moment when that same thing happened to me.. or when they post a happy blog about getting a phone call or an e-mail i get so excited as well.. as i read these blogs i seriously cannot be more thankful that i will NEVER have to go through that again! although, i will say this.. while at the time i hated deployment more than anything, i am so grateful for the opportunity because i am able to value things that regular couples take for granted every single day. also, it gave me a pride in our country that most will probably never ever feel. when rey gets out and we move back to utah i'm definitely planning on keeping the troops and their families in my prayers and will do anything i possibly can to help.. like send packages.. donate to causes that support our troops.. or even just do something as little as thank a military member for their service.. even though rey wont admit it, i know he definitely feels appreciated when someone will take the time to shake his hand and thank him for his service...
anywho! that is all! kind of a lame 100th post.. but it's all i got!
