while it's fresh in my mind i wanted to blog about glee! oh my goodness! twas amazing!! i saw the set list a few days ago and some of the songs i wasn't too happy about and was super sad that they left out some of the good ones.. but honestly every song was AMAZING!! plus, they even did a few songs that i wasn't expecting them to do and that made it even better! the only bad thing i can say about the show was it was supposed to start at 7:30 and at 7:30 there was a 30 minute dance number by some dance crew in LA and they weren't really that great.. i dunno.. wasn't impressed! then after that we had to wait another 30 minutes for the glee stuff to start! some of the highlights from where i sat was we could see backstage a little and i got to see artie, rachel, sam, and mercedes before the show even started! OH! also, the girl who plays becky was sitting near our section.. like i was in second 219 and she was in 220! tons of people were storming her for pictures and autographs but i felt bad and didn't want to bug her so i didn't.. although it would have been cool! she seemed super nice and sweet!
Some of the favorite things about the show was that it started out with them obviously singing don't stop believin' and instead of them doing the version where everybody gets to sing, which in my opinion isn't as good, it was just rachel and finn!! it was so good and i have to say i was pleasantly surprised with finn's voice! i really think that they worked with him and trained him since i know when he first started on glee he wasn't that great of a singer. actually, the only person that i think lipsynched tonight was brittany when she sang slave for you! also, i kind of have to say the singer i was most impressed with was artie! he was amazing!! he seriously has such a good voice and when he danced in safety dance it was awesome!! some of my favorite moments were when finn sang jesse's girl! he did a pretty good job, but i kind of think they turned up the music super load to drown him out a little bit! as most people know i love me some finn and throughout the concert i would watch him and he was always doing something funny and dancing along! speaking of things that i thought was cool about the people.. brittany and rachel were the best at interacting with the crowd and waving which i thought was really sweet! okay, back to the good songs! i loved when rachel sang firework.. and they had actual fireworks on stage which were pretty awesome! one thing that i loved that i wasn't expecting was kurt doing the single ladies dance! it was awesome! also, when i saw the set list the other day it didn't show them singing new york, which is one of my favorite songs from this past season and when they sang it i started to freak out! i did whip out my camera, but sadly i missed the part of finn rapping! it was pretty shweetest! my other favorite surprise moment was when the guys sang friday! when we drove up i told rey that i really hoped they would sing it.. and they did!! ahh! i can't wait to see this again in theatres this summer.. is that lame?!
anywho! i could go on and on but i think i should stop for now.. i will update with videos and pictures tomorrow! the videos turned out decent.. but the lighting for the pictures wasn't always the best.. oh wells! also, we were pretty close to the stage and the pictures just don't do it justice..

catching up
i just looked at my blog and realized it has been WAY too long since my last post! well, as most of you know rey just had his surgery to get the tumor removed! yesterday was definitely a LONG day! we got there at nine in the morning and checked in, but ended up waiting in the waiting room till 10:30! so at 10:30 they took him back, but apparently he just laid in a bed for awhile. i wasn't really nervous for him until he was gone, so it was definitely a long wait! at 1:30 a nurse came into the waiting room and told me rey was done. so i walk in the room and rey just looked out of it. he had this huge smile on my face and starts telling me about this guy juan, who is not really named juan, but that is what he calls him, and how they keep telling him that's not his name but he doesn't care. seriously i wish i could remember it all because it was freaking hilarious! i was trying super hard not to laugh, but it really was funny! we finally got to leave around 2:30 and rey came home. for the most part he has been feeling pretty good due to all the meds but he is tired constantly and pretty out of it! every so often he's in pain, but luckily the meds work really well and kick in pretty fast! i just hope he starts feeling better soon because these meds are annoying! haha! he's basically a zombie! the one pretty funny thing is, is rey was really worried about chloe since they always play rough together and she walks all over everybody.. well, pretty much as soon as chloe was around rey she knew something was off. she has been super gentle with him and never leaves his side. rey even decided to sleep on the couch last night and chloe stayed out on the couch with him. i definitely think she is making sure he is okay!
so besides the surgery the good news is... REY DOESN'T HAVE TO GO TO BRIDGEPORT! i'm pretty much freaking out!! i was starting to get really annoyed of the fact that we weren't going to spend an anniversary together till our third anniversary, especially since there would be no point in him going this time around since he gets out of the marines in october.. but it all worked out! even though this is our two year anniversary it is the first one we get to spend together so we are going all out! not only are we going to disneyland (surprise surprise huh?) we are staying at the disneyland hotel!! i'm so stinkin excited! last time we stayed at the paradise pier resort and it was awesome!!! but this time we are staying in the actual disneyland hotel! we even made reservations for the blue bayou.. yep, the restaurant inside of pirates of the carribean! can it be june 11th please?!
so besides that i guess the only other cool thing is.. GLEE CONCERT ON FRIDAY!! ahhh! i'm freaking out! i get to be in the same room as cory monteith!! although, i did see the set list on perez hilton and i have to admit i'm not too happy about some of the song choices.. some of them are awesome.. but another couple are lameo flameo! oh well! either way i'm stoked!

Patience
since yesterday was all about me whining and complaining i figured i should write this, especially after i saw a post on facebook that my sister-in-law posted. honestly, i wouldn't be surprised if this post was meant for me. it definitely wouldn't be the first time this has happened. for those of that you that read my blog during rey's last deployment i posted a story about this guy who's car broke down and how he just had to trust in the Lord and keep going.. well, i was having a hard time at that point and just after praying my sister-in-law had posted that on facebook and that one thing seriously helped me so many times through that deployment. a few months later i told my sister in law how that had left a huge impact on me and she told me she just had a feeling she should post it, and she actually posts a lot of church related stuff.. well, last night she posted this..
"Perhaps there are those who demand rather than request. There may be those who pray for certain blessings without any questions in their minds as to the value of those things to them. Perhaps they are disappointed and even shaken in their faith if their prayer is not granted.Remember that our prayers are often as inconsistent and inappropriate to our Father in Heaven as are the demands of our little children upon us. What earthly parent would give a little one a bottle of poison with which to play, even though the child might ask and demand and cry for it? . . . And yet we sometimes ask for just such impossible things, just such dangerous things, and the Lord in his mercy withholds them. Let us pray with the attitude always of the crucified One, 'nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.' (Luke 22:42)" (The Teachings of Spencer W. Kimball, p. 123).
last night when i read that it hit me super super hard! as a lot of you have been able to see rey and i really want a baby and that has been in our prayers.. and every month when we find out another month has gone by without us getting pregnant we do remember that it will happen in Heavenly Father's time.. but it's still pretty hard. i dunno, this was just another good reminder that it will happen when it's supposed to!
well, that is all.. just thought i should share that with you since i was such a little whiner yesterday!!

life is... frustrating and annoying
not gonna lie! i'm not a happy camper! the marine corps is seriously pissing me off! first off, rey is supposed to be getting out of the marines in october, and secondly, he is supposed to be having surgery on may 23rd, and the marine corps wants him to go spend a month training at bridgeport from june 1st to june 25th! i'm sorry but that is bull crap! he should be concentrating on getting out, but all the marine corps cares about is themselves.. even though it seems stupid to train with guys that wont even be there when you deploy... they want him there. let's not forget about the big HOLE that is going to be in rey's back.. and he might have a drain coming out of his back till june 6th! his stupid 1st srgt who is really wanting this to happen is saying that he can go to the doctor up at bridgeport.. but really? if he's not going to be much help why take him? basically at this point he only wants to take him to prove a point! sorry, i know i am just venting, but i am so annoyed! we figured that rey wouldn't go to bridgeport since he'll have just had surgery and there is no point and assumed that i would come back the first weekend in july, but now i may be coming back in june! i mean why stay if he's going to be gone all month? the only problem is, rey wanted to drive down with me on a friday after he gets off work, stay in vegas, then finish the drive on saturday, and then sunday he'd fly back.. but now if i leave before he goes to bridgeport it all seems like a huge pain! i mean, we have the glee concert on the 27th.. so we'd have to drive all day on the 28th only for him to fly back on the 29th.. but he will have just had surgery on the 23rd so that just seems stupid!! GRRR! i'm so so so mad! i mean, there is still a possibility of him not going, because his surgery doctor wanted rey to come back on june 6th for a check-up.. so maybe that can get rey out of it.. but who knows! it's just annoying that we probably wont find out the for sure plan till it gets super close to bridgeport! so utah peeps.. who knows! you may be seeing me in less than a month!
also, i know i'm just being a whiny baby.. but i am seriously sick of all these preggo chicks! i know it's jealousy.. but really? i now have SIX chicks on my facebook who are preggo and pretty much each and every one of their posts is about being pregnant! i'm almost to the point where i want to block their posts cause it's just getting to me! rey and i really really want a baby, but when girls, like the most recent chick that announced her pregnancy said that it was unplanned and that they had wanted to wait awhile.. it just really annoys me! i know, i'm a jerk for feeling like this, but i really can't help it! i just wants me a baby! anywho! i guess that's it.. i shall stop complaining!

Military Spouse Appreciation Day!
yay! today is military spouse appreciation day! to celebrate i think i'm going to make rey take me to see something borrowed tonight, although i think he wants to see it anyway so it all works out! i can't believe this will be my last military spouse appreciation day as a military spouse! growing up i told everyone that i would never marry someone in the military because i didn't want to have to deal with being away from my husband.. surprise surprise i married a marine! as hard as it has been i wouldn't change it for anything! i know that sounds a bit crazy since rey and i have missed out on so much time together, including our first anniversary, but i have learned so much! the biggest thing i think i have learned is a HUGE appreciation for the military and their families for all that they do and sacrifice for this nation! another thing i learned was how strong i am! during my time of knowing rey (dating and married) we have gone through time with him in the field, ship training for two weeks at a time, and two seven month long deployments missing anniversaries and plenty of holidays! heck, my birthday is a pretty big deal to me and i have always loved birthdays and rey has yet to be here for even one of my birthdays! basically i have learned that I can do things by myself and that I can handle very tough situations! Not too many girls my age, unless they too are military spouses, can say that they went 7 months without seeing their significant other, and went almost two months at one point without talking to or hearing their voice! i have heard countless times from people, 'oh i could never do that,' and heard many girls complain that they missed their significant other even though they were only gone for a weekend or something. i'm not trying to diminish that, since i know that for them that was probably tough, but i have come to the realization that i am a super strong woman and that i can handle so so much! lastly, i learned to not take the time i have with rey for granted! especially during the first part of our marriage when we knew rey was about to deploy, rey and i spent as much quality time together as possible and took in every possible moment. i learned what it was like to be without him, and know that we can make it through anything! i really am excited for rey to get out of the marines in october and for us to start our new life together, but i really will look back on this time, despite how tough at times, and be thankful for all that i learned and for how it changed my life!
i also want to end thanking all the other military spouses out there for the sacrifices that they make for their husbands and for their country! i know how tough deployments can be, but there is no better feeling than running into their arms when you get to see them for the first time after many months apart! seriously, every single marine wife that i have met is amazing and i want to thank you for your great examples on how to be tough and make it through! a real special thanks to melissa and autumn for being such good friends! i love you guys a lot and will definitely miss you! hopefully we can stay in touch and we can all be lifelong friends!!
