SEASON PASS HOLDERS BBY!!

yep, rey and i are season pass holders to disneyland! woot woot! not too long ago when i was online i saw that season passes went up to $700! i love disneyland, but even to me that just isn't worth it! well, the other day when rey and i went we got a military three day park hopper for only $99! well, i posted that on facebook responded and said that you could upgrade your ticket to a season pass and use that $99 you already spent and use that and just pay the rest for a season pass. i went to see if the season passes had gotten any less or more expensive and realized that they are back down to 450, and with 99 off we would only have to spend 350 more for a season pass! plus, we already know of quite a few times in the future that we are planning on going to disneyland so we figured we might as well get the season pass! parking alone at disneyland has gotten up to $15 dollars a day which means in just those three days we would have gone with our military pass we would have spent $45! we also get discounts at the stores and restaurants so in the end i think these passes will once again pay for themselves! so if anybody is in cali and wants to go to disneyland hit us up! the other day when rey and i went to disneyland it was seriously one of the funnest days i have ever had at disneyland! since we knew we'd be coming a lot we took it super slow and rode the rides we wanted and just walked around looking at shops, watching all the shows, and even got our pictures drawn! plus, while we were getting our picture drawn the girl asked what was on my necklace and i told her it was the ega, the marine symbol, and she asked if rey was a marine and he said yes, and she asked if we had gotten any military discounts at the park, and rey said he did with the tickets and the lady was like well we will give you a free frame for your picture.. and the frames there are like $30 bucks!

well, today means we only have one week left of rey's leave and i have to say i am pretty depressed about it! we have had so much fun and it has been so nice to not have to worry about anything and just spend quality time together. to finish off our leave i think we are going bowling tomorrow, to dave and busters on wed, and possibly disneyland again on thursday! man i love leave! i just wish it could last a little longer! the only upside to this is we are even closer to rey getting out of the marines. he has been back for almost two months now and i can't believe that we will only have like eight months left! craziness!

i don't think i could even begin to express how much i love having rey on leave! we stay up as late as we want and sleep till whenever we want, plus, waking up next to rey every single day is pretty awesome! i'll try and give a little update on everything we have done! we started rey's leave out by going bowling! i think i mentioned it in my last blog about how you get unlimited bowling for three hours for only $10! it was such a blast! most of the time rey won, but i did win a few rounds and we are planning on going again next tuesday! last thursday we had planned to go down to the hobby shop on base and paint some stuff, but my phone decided to randomly stop working! it was just so weird so we took it to the apple store and even they were baffled by what was going on! luckily my warranty still covered the phone so i got it replaced for free! so basically i have an all new shnazzy iphone, but i did lose all my data including numbers, songs, apps, everything!!! after that we knew we wouldn't have enough time to paint so we saved that for the next day and went shopping! rey has a mess night thing coming up where he dresses up in his dress blues and wives/dates wear cocktail dresses so i had to go and find a pretty dress! cali makes it a little hard to find a modest dress but i did find a pretty cute classy halter dress for a decent price so i got that along with a few accessories! the next day rey and i went to the hobby shop to paint! i painted another ice cream cone cup and rey painted a mug! today we get to go pick them up and i am pretty excited about that! on sunday rey and i went to church and we had set up a meeting with the bishop so we got to meet with him and discuss the plan for rey and i getting sealed in the temple! the bishop even thinks that we will be able to get sealed on our anniversary so hopefully by june 11th rey and i will finally be sealed for time and all eternity! so let's see.. what else! on tuesday rey and i went to disneyland!! woot woot! there is a deal going on right now that is for southern california residents where you get a two day park hopper for $109 and we were planning on doing that, but when they asked for id rey showed his military id and they said they had a military thing going on and we got a 3 day park hopper for only $99! it was awesome! we had such a blast and we got to go on everything at least once and we rode our favorites a second time. the longest we ever had to wait for a ride was 20 minutes and we never even had to use a fast pass! we are actually planning on going tomorrow too! we wanted to go on a weekend so we can watch all the shows like fantasmic and the fireworks since they only do that on weekends! hopefully after going on a weekday it isn't too crowded, but since it is in january and a friday hopefully it's not too crowded! i actually heard from a friend that you can upgrade your ticket to a season pass, and we just saw the other day that the season passes are back down to 450 so after our 99 we would only have to pay 350 for a season pass! this would give us free parking, 10% off at merchandise stores, and 15% off food at disneyland! mine last time totally paid for itself and if rey and i both get one we could pretty much go whenever we wanted and if one weekend we want to get out we could just hit up disneyland which would be awesome! rey is a little hesitant and still thinking it over but i am going to try and convince him! plus, we will be filing our taxes soon and since i worked a little bit this past year we should be getting a bigger refund than last time so i am almost positive i can convince him to do it! so that's about all of the big stuff we have done.. we really have just used this time together to hang out, play mario kart, watch netflix and so forth! speaking of netflix! rey and i have become obessed with veronica mars! seriously, that show is awesome and i totally wish i would have watched that show while it was on tv back in the day! it's super intense and every episode you are trying to guess what is going on, and it's pretty funny! for all you netflix people i totally suggest it, or if you don't have netflix you should find a way to watch it cuz it's an awesome show! anyways, i think that is all for now! rey and i need to go pick up our stuff from the hobby shop so i am out!

LEAVE!!

yay!! as soon as rey gets off of work today, rey's post deployment leave starts! three weeks of just me and rey!!! before he left on his last deployment he only had 11 days off, so to have this long together sounds amazing! yes, he did have christmas leave last year, but since we were in utah everyone in his family wanted to see him so we pretty much only got one day in all that of just us! people may think i am selfish for wanting all this alone time with rey, but i definitely feel like i deserve it! i may be here living with rey, but he leaves early in the morning and often times gets home really really late.. that is if he isn't going into the field for a few days, or on duty! let's also not forget that i have spent the last seven months without my husband!! i know that there were other people who missed him during this deployment, but nobody's day to day lives were as affected as mine.. pretty much every single thought the entire time he was gone was about rey, and i was the one who had to go to bed alone and wake up alone with the constant reminder that my husband is gone. either way, rey is all mine for these three weeks and i couldn't be more excited!! on our fridge we have a leave calendar all made up and we have days filled in with stuff we want to do like, disneyland, knotts berry farm, sea world, price is right, fishing, and bowling! tonight we are actually starting our leave out by bowling! at the bowling alley we like to go to, on tuesdays they have a special that you get unlimited bowling plus shoe rental for $10 a per person after 9, so we are going to bowl all night!! woot woot!! the number one thing that i am looking forward to is disneyland! for those of you that know me, you know i love disneyland and in 2010 alone i went about 9 times, but i still can't get over how much i love the place and i am so so so excited! they are offering a special deal to those that live in california that you can get a two day park hopper for $109 so we are going to try and go on a slow day, which will be next tuesday, and then next friday, since i do want to go on a weekend since on weekdays it closes at 8 and there are no fireworks, whereas on the weekend there is fantasmic, fireworks, and it closes at 11! so many fun things to look forward to in the upcoming weeks.. now i just need my hubby off so we can start all the fun!!

i actually feel like i don't have that much to post, but it feels like i haven't blogged in quite awhile so i figured i should write something! so let's see.. yesterday rey and i have officially been married for nineteen months!! woot woot! now we have spent around 9 months of that together, and 10 months apart, which means this should be the last month that rey and i will have ever spent more of our marriage apart.. next month should be we have spent the same amount of time, and then the next month we will finally have spent more of our marriage together than apart and we definitely plan on keeping it that way! other than that not much going on here! rey goes to work.. i do my wifely duties and clean up the place, blah blah blah! once all that is done i watch netflix until rey gets off.. right now i am currently watching all the episodes of instant star! i forgot how much i loved this show back in the day! when rey gets off work the first thing we do is go to the gym! rey loves working out since that's pretty much all he did on ship and it is the best because now i am always motivated to go to the gym with him. yes, i am super out of shape, but every day i get a little bit better! rey starts his leave on the 18th and is off till the 7th, and my goal is for us to go out running in the neighborhoods by the time he finishes leave and for me to be able to somewhat keep up with him! his favorite is to run around town, but he is waiting for me to get back in shape before so right now we are just running on the treadmills at our apartment place gym! after the gym we come back, shower, and then one of us makes dinner! after dinner we generally watch tv, watch netflix, or play wii! we generally finish the night by taking chloe on a 30-45 min walk! so yes, i may be spending most of my day sitting around and being lazy, but luckily i think i am evening it out by running and taking chloe on walks! so yeah, like i said, i don't really do much and don't really have much to say but i felt like i needed to say something! anyways, that's all for now!

NETFLIX

wow.. can i just tell you how much i LOVE netflix!! all the redboxes around our apartment always only have crappy movies so on new years when we actually wanted to rent a bunch of movies we decided to hit up blockbuster, and for 2 movies it cost us about 12 bucks!! isn't that ridiculous?! i know a butt load of people that use netflix so i decided to look into it, and for us to be able to watch movies anytime off of our wii and get two bluray dvd's at a time it would only cost us $18.00 a month! we just got it two days ago and i am already in love with it! our first blurays that we ordered are supposed to come in the mail today, and i have kept myself busy the past two days while rey has been at work with watching tons and tons of movies on the wii.. right now i'm watching the proposal, and i have already watched movies like anastasia, the swan princess, tuck everlasting, now and then, and when in rome. the plan is currently for me to look for a job after rey's leave, but that's still about two weeks away till his break even starts, so i figure this will be the perfect thing to keep me busy till then! that is all!!

peace out 2010!

wow!! i can't believe how fast this past year has gone by! i can totally remember last new years eve where rey and i went to his dad's house.. ate chinese food, celebrated the new year at nine and then came to my parents house and watched the movie stand by me, said happy new year at midnight with a cute little kiss and then we both rolled over and went to bed! ha! 2010 was definitely a crazy year! pretty much as soon as rey got home from leave last january it was pretty much all about him deploying with stupid ship ops with him leaving for two weeks at a time, not getting off until super late most nights, and even having to work weekends! i remember i was not a happy wifey, especially since all i wanted was to spend that extra quality time together before he deployed! pretty much the only happy time in 2010 before he left were those 11 days of leave he got! we had so much fun and did cool, possibly once in a lifetime things like going to the price is right! sadly, those awesome 11 days had to end and rey deployed! while that deployment was super sucky, looking back on it i really can only look at the positives! i was so so so lucky that he only went on a ship and didn't deploy to afghanistan! i'm so lucky that it was only a seven month deployment since now i am hearing meu deployments are now going to be eight months now! i am so lucky to have such awesome parents who let me and my sometimes very annoying little puppy chloe come and live with them! i am so lucky to have such awesome friends who helped me and supported me through the whole deployment process! i have other marine wife friends who had some super sucky and anything but supportive friends and mine were always there for me and i can't help but feel blessed! i am so lucky to have had my job at jordan commons! it was so nice to have a little extra cash and a perfect way to keep busy and keep my mind off missing my husband! i guess the last reason why i feel blessed because of this deployment is because i feel like i will never take for granted the time rey and i have together! i know what it's like to miss the person you love the most and i know what life is like without them, so even if he does something stupid that annoys me.. i can now look past it and realize i would rather have him do that here with me, then not have him here at all! i am also so incredibly lucky to have had come home just in time for christmas!! i seriously cannot express how blessed i feel to have been able to have him here! i know that there are so many families out there who had to celebrate without a loved one due to a deployment! looking back i can definitely see both the positives and negatives to 2010, and even though this past year included a deployment, i seriously wouldn't change any of it because i have learned so much about myself and rey and i as a couple due to it!

2011! how crazy is that?! all i know is i am definitely looking forward to what it has to offer!! in the very near future rey gets about 2 weeks of leave and i can't wait to spend all that quality time together, and so far we already have a disneyland trip planned and possibly a knotts berry farm, and magic mountain trip planned as well! i'm also kind of thinking of doing the price is right again because that was just too fun! also, rey has a mess night thing coming up, which is kind of like a mini marine corps ball thing since he was gone for the ball! rey is excited since now that he is a nco he gets to have the blood stripe on his pants, so that should be fun! i guess beyond that the other thing we are looking forward to in 2011 is rey getting out of the marine corps in october! still quite awhile away, but it's a little too hard to not get excited about! i am so looking forward to living in utah permanately and being around friends and family! it will definitely be an adjustement and may be somewhat difficult at first since we will have to get jobs, get rey enrolled in school.. and blah blah blah, but in the end it will so be worth it! another thing that would possibly be nice in 2011 is starting a family! rey and i both feel we are ready to have kids, and even though it could possibly be a little difficult with rey getting out and all, we just can't help but want to start a family! at this point all we can do is put things in the Lord's hands and if he decides to put a little child into our life i know we will be able to handle it and everything will work out!! well, that's all for now!
